Graham Pearson

Assistant Women's Tennis Coach

Graham Pearson '18 joined the Quakers' women's tennis staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2018, just a few months after his graduation from Guilford.

Pearson lettered three seasons for coach Dave McCain's club and served as a team captain as a senior. He was a 2018 Second-Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) selection at fourth singles after recording an 8-2 record there. For his career, Pearson compiled a 20-17 overall singles record and played as high as third singles in his career. He had a 30-28 career doubles mark and played first doubles as a senior. The Quakers twice reached the ODAC Tournament semifinals with Pearson on the team, including in 2017 when Guilford finished second.

Pearson earned his degree in business from Guilford and was named to the 2018 Intercollegiate Tennis Association's All-Academic Team. A dean's list student, he twice earned Academic All-ODAC recognition was named to Guilford's Student-Athlete Honor Roll four times.

Pearson grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, and starred at Grimsley High School where he was named 2012 Metro Conference Player of the Year. He and teammate Will Albright reached the 2012 state 4-A championship doubles final.
